In today’s changing world, it’s important to be aware of threatening situations we face in our community and workplaces

– avoiding unpredictable and unsafe situations is one of the most effective ways to stay safe.

 

At BStreet Savvy, we run interactive workshops to teach effective protection skills to help you feel safer in your everyday life and at your workplace.

 

Our specialised and tailored workshops teach essential life skills. We equip participants with the ability to recognise, predict and avoid potentially unsafe situations.

We have combined our professional experience to create unique workshops.

 

 

About the Workshops:

 

We will be running this session for 1 hour 30mins. We have the capacity to have a 40 people in each class.

 

1. Participants will develop a thorough understanding of situational awareness, strategies to avoid confrontations and threatening situations.

 

2. We identify aggressive situations that occur in your workplace and provide diffusing techniques.

 

3. Our workshops foster team building and are interactive with dynamic scenarios. They are tailor-made to suit your specific business needs.

 

4. The workshops are dynamic. They provide specialised techniques to equip participants with practical strategies.

 

Proposed Workshop Overview:

 

 

Each concept involves theory, experiential activity and group discussion.

 

1. Introduction to BStreet Savvy and workshop aims.

 

2. Sharing stories about vulnerable and hostile situations in the workplace. Discussing the physical and emotional outcomes.

 

3. Sensory activity involving adrenaline and awareness of response.

 

4. Exploring fight, flight and freeze.

 

5. Power of the voice with body language.

 

6. Proactive decision making cycle (theory of OODA LOOP).

 

7. Situational awareness – 4 stages.

 

8. Diffusing confrontations within the workplace.

 

9. Approximately 3-4 scenarios prepared specifically to suit the staff’s environment. This consolidates strategies they have learnt in workshop.
